Practical Nursing is a twelve-month certificate program. The Practical Nursing program prepares students to assist in providing general nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, or dentist. Barber, a longtime nurse practitioner, will address the practical nursing candidates with an inspiring message.

With a passion for nursing, Dr. Barber says it is a privilege to be a member of such an elite industry. She believes that her faith in God has been the strong tower that has allowed her to preserve through her nursing career, and she wants to be a beacon of light to serve within the healthcare vicinity and community.

In addition, Dr. Patricia Burton Barber is a graduate of Mississippi Delta Junior College, where she received her Associate's degree, Delta State University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner, and Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice.
