(Clarksdale, Mississippi) – Coahoma Community College proudly announces the remarkable achievements of its students at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Competition held from February 26 to 28, 2025, at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Freshmen Karmese Leflore and Arriyana Holmes represented Coahoma Community College in three competitive categories: Business Communication, Job Interview, and Supply Chain Management. Karmese Leflore notably secured a third-place finish in Business Communication. Competing for the first time, both students demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, contending not only against peers from community colleges across Mississippi but also from some of the state’s universities.

The competition also provided a valuable platform for networking and learning, with numerous workshops that helped participants gain crucial insights into the business world. This event marked both students' debut in competitive business arenas, contributing significantly to their educational and professional development.

In addition to student achievements, Mrs. Kimberly Hollins was recognized as the 2024 Mississippi Outstanding Adviser at the state conference, further highlighting the quality of leadership and mentorship available to students at Coahoma Community College.

Looking forward, the college is enthusiastic about the upcoming National FBLA Leadership Conference/Competition scheduled for May 31 – June 2, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. The national competition will see our students competing against community colleges and universities from each state, an opportunity that promises to be as enriching as it is challenging.
