The Office of Communications & Marketing is delighted to introduce its latest addition,
who will play a pivotal role as a Multimedia Specialist.
Andranita Williams, from Clarksdale, Mississippi and raised in Rosedale, Mississippi, is our newly appointed Multimedia Specialist. With deep roots in the Delta, Williams has discovered her true calling right here at home. She's a proud alumni of West Bolivar High School and the University of Mississippi, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism with a specialization in broadcasting, complemented by a minor in African-American Studies and a focus on public relations.
She has been a reporter for campus television and radio stations throughout her professional journey. After graduating, she pursued her reporting skills at "Delta News" of Greenville, Mississippi, where she served as a reporter and multimedia journalist. Williams then got promoted to weekend anchor and evening anchor and also was able to produce shows.
Throughout her career, Williams developed a genuine passion for connecting with diverse communities and keeping the Delta region well-informed. Her next career move took her to Delta Radio, where she assumed the role of News Director.
Now, as she embarks on this exciting new chapter at Coahoma Community College, Williams is eager to bring innovative ideas to the table. It's a special moment for her as she returns to Coahoma County, where her journey initially began.
In her capacity as Multimedia Specialist, Williams will be responsible for producing top-notch multimedia content across various domains, including photography, video production, and digital media platforms. Her work will be instrumental in bolstering our marketing efforts, enhancing communications, and advancing institutional priorities.
Williams approaches her new role with a host of aspirations, all aimed at showcasing Coahoma Community College in the best possible light. Her motivation stems from her unwavering faith and a deep-seated desire to help others. Outside of her professional life, she takes pleasure in expanding her music and movie collection, crafting poetry, and indulging in her artistic pursuits, all while cherishing moments spent with her family.
One of Williams's cherished mottos reminds us all to "Be kind to everyone because you don't know what kind of battles they may be facing."
