(Clarksdale, Mississippi) – Coahoma Community College (CCC) is proud to announce the celebration of Adult Education and Family Literacy (AEFL) Week taking place September 15–19, 2025. This week-long series of events highlights the achievements of Mi-BEST students while raising awareness of the vital role adult education plays in strengthening communities across the Mississippi Delta.

Throughout the week, students, staff, and community partners will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful events designed to promote education, leadership, and workforce development:

The Mi-BEST (Mississippi Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training) program provides adult learners the opportunity to simultaneously pursue a high school equivalency diploma and college-level workforce training. By combining academics with hands-on career preparation, Mi-BEST equips students with the tools needed to enter the workforce more quickly and successfully.

This week of recognition underscores Coahoma Community College’s commitment to empowering students, supporting lifelong learning, and preparing the Mississippi Delta workforce for the future. CCC invites the community, students, and partners to join in these events and help celebrate the power of education, workforce readiness, and leadership in shaping brighter futures.
